Core Features

StubBot intelligently manages your MLB The Show market activities for diamond equipment (excluding bats):

  • Places buy orders exclusively for your favorited equipment items.
  • Automatically reads stub prices and calculates the profit gap to make smart buy order decisions.
  • Detects when your buy orders are low and strategically places more.

Easy Setup Instructions

Initial Setup

  1. Run Launcher.ps1. This script will automatically install/check for Python version 3.10.11 and required dependencies (requirements.txt).
  2. Place the MLB The Show Companion App icon on the **bottom left** of your main homescreen in the MuMu emulator.
  3. Ensure MuMu Player is **maximized** (but NOT in fullscreen mode).
  4. Ensure the MLB Companion App is the **only tab open** on MuMu Player.

Configuration

Open the settings.py file with any text editor and configure:

  1. Select your console: Choose between PS, Xbox, or Switch.
  2. Set stub price gap: Define the minimum profit margin for the bot to place a buy order. (Default is 500 stubs).

Do's & Don'ts

Do 👍

  • Update orders manually through the companion app, website, or in-game as you normally would.
  • Place your own buy/sell orders manually if desired. The bot will work alongside your actions.

Don't 👎

  • Have active buy/sell orders for large quantities of non-equipment items. This can confuse the bot, causing it to reload repeatedly until those orders are cleared.

Known Limitations

  • Companion App Stability: The bot's performance can be affected by the MLB The Show Companion App's server stability (SDS servers). If the app is unresponsive, the bot will continuously refresh until it loads properly. App downtimes are common around 3:00 PM Eastern (new card releases) and Fridays at 3:00 PM Eastern (roster updates).
  • Sliding Mitts: Currently, sliding mitts cannot be found in the inventory by the bot due to their unique inventory slot.
  • Bats Ignored: The bot is designed to ignore bat items and will not flip them.
  • Occasional Stuck State: Rarely, the bot might get stuck on a buy/sell order page. It's advisable to check on its operation at least once per day.
